This community is for all of the above!! However, it has an extra emphasis on:

Projects that incorporate multiple crafts (knitting/weaving/etc) in the same work.
People who do more than one kind of textile.
Questions/discussions that transcend any one specific craft.
Rare forms of textiles (nalbinding/kumihimo/etc) with too small a web presence to flourish in their own dedicated forum.

This is mainly because the more popular textile methods already have their dedicated communities, and we don't want to divide their audience. Here are some of the existing ones:

Working on the strap for that bag from a few posts ago, and it's... quite a bit more ponderous than the main part was, lol. I gotta say though, Tunisian flat stitch is as awesome as CrochetKim says it is.

Picture from below of a hand, coming from off screen on the right, holding something. It looks like a thin strap of crocheted fabric, rolled up into a cylinder. The outermost end of the strap still has a double-ended Tunisian crochet hook attached to it, with some yarn trailing away below. A ceiling is visible in the background.

(my impression is that PixelFed is still very wonky when working towards lemmy, sadly)

Look forward to seeing the finished product - love the colour :)
