Yours is better. No name on the dial. But I definitely saved that watch. It's a neat piece. I like watches and dislike AP as a whole basically but interesting piece. Seems to crude and very unique at the same time. Thanks for sharing.

I honestly thing people would wear this widely if it had a good movement in it. Quartz or mechanical like some ETA highly servicable movement or a good HAQ movement that keeps stellar time. If you wanna sell the watch I'll play with it to add in a good movement. For funsies so I can repost it here.

I really don't think so. Seiko makes quality timepieces. They don't add useless subdials, like a small second when you already have a sweeping second. Plus, it doesn't say Seiko on the caseback. There's no serial number. And, when I look up "Seiko 1880A" all I find is that watch on places like AliExpress. No reputable Seiko dealers. I say fake.

I'm going to guess it's a mod; assembled from aftermarket parts. It kinda looks like it, and the caseback doesn't say seiko. Care to share the listing?

Edit: closest I could find is this:
    https://marketplace.watchcharts.com/listing/16851459-seiko-mod-5-sport-1880a-black-automatic-luminous-hands-indexes-men

There's a while community for building modded seikos.

    Nicely done.

It’s certainly a pretty watch but the intentionality behind the purchase is always exciting. Finding what you like, what fits your lifestyle, what draws your interest, and then going for it after much consideration. That’s really great, happy to see it.

The damage phase will pass. Like anything else, our scars tell stories. A little scape here and there (I hate it too) shows appreciation in my opinion. Someone really liked this and wore it often; shows enjoyment not mileage.

    Congrats to you!
