I've had a few infestations at different homes. you can invest in a spray for their nest. make sure to take out any nests before they get bigger. there are plants and other sprays you can use to repel them. some people have had success with a fake nest to keep them away.

as to their benefits, they do a great job at killing other bugs like mosquitoes and roaches, as well as being pollinators (which attracts birds as their natural predators). i agree they are awful and hope you can deal with your infestation

So it only happens at home in your room? That's good, sort of. I mean, it's not great, but I've heard worse stories.

Invading your most personal space, your room, is one of the worst things they could do to you, but it does sound like there are places you could go to to escape their bullshit. Friends? Family? The local park? Depending on where you live, maybe you could go hiking or camping? Also, I think noise-cancelling headphones are getting cheaper all the time...

If it's only happening in one place, that also lends credibility to the possibility that you're not (very) psychotic and/or delusional.

When they see what you've written, most people will be convinced you're psychotic and hearing voices (auditory hallucinations). But it also seems possible to me that your house has really thin walls, and you're just really bothered by the noises coming from next door. Perhaps you're projecting your insecurities on those voices and imagining they're talking about you. That would only be a case of mild delusions. And while it sounds unlikely, it's not impossible that what you're saying is true.

While I'm sure your family won't believe the neighbours are targeting you, if any of what you say is true, it should be easy enough to convince them that the walls are thin and the sounds from nextdoor are really bothering you. If there's nothing they'll do, maybe you could promise to go to an intake with a psychotherapist in exchange for some noise cancelling headphones or a holiday at a nice hotel with thick walls?

Honestly, it's good for anybody to talk to a therapist, even if they're not clinically insane. In your case a therapist might be able to help you to feel less insecure and be less bothered by what others (your neighbours) are saying about you. While that doesn't solve your problem, it could be an improvement.

What did they start exactly? Watching you? Do you hear them talking through the walls? When you pass by their house? Or are they bothering you on social media?

What do you mean with the word "inerce"?

What the fuck? This is plain-as-day schizophrenia and you're recommending Linux? OP needs professional help, not privacy tips. Holy fuck.

To OP: I'm sorry you have to endure this. Your brain is lying to you. Seek help at all costs. I love you.

On the off-chance that this is true, your family or a psychologist are unlikely to believe you unless you have some solid evidence.

Why do you believe your neighbours are doing this? Do you have any idea what might be motivating them or whoever is making them do it?

If you do decide to see a psychologist, there's a good chance they'll focus more on finding ways to help you function despite your situation/beliefs, rather than establishing whether or not your claims are true. Might be worth going to an intake session and seeing what they have to offer.

Even if you're imagining this, it never hurts to lock down your devices a bit. You could consider installing Linux or Qubes OS on your PC and a custom rom like GrapheneOS on your phone.

Oh no, I guess that means the code base will have to move from GitHub to Codeberg. I don't see an issue with that.

Seeing as both Github and GitLab are run by publicly listed US companies, getting off those platforms removes the risk.

More likely it would be used as a targeting operation. They're scanning social media to target resistance organizers. To do that, they need places that like minded people will talk shit about the regime. They don't care about people talking shit, they're looking for the ones saying 'hey lets get together and do something about it'. It's the public version of the dark web infiltration. When you get ties between the two, someone knocks on your door.

and is especially a violation of our First Amendment rights by prohibiting free speech

Oh, you are one of those people who don't know how freedom of speech actually works.

This is a common thing in English. Both terms are technically correct but carry different connotations.

It's like the difference between "Forgive me Father for I have sinned" and "Sorry daddy, I've been naughty" both sentences have the same definite meaning, but wildly different implications
