If Trump gives that order, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff should lay his stars down in front of Trump. Then, each general who gets the order should do likewise, and each man—and it will be men, in Hegseth’s Pentagon—promoted as a replacement should do likewise, until Trump has a pile of stars and eagles on his desk

Sadly, there isn't a jello backbone in the compiled pile of US "leadership"… some are literally wearing clown sized shoes lest they offend a known child rapist

Two things to remember about Buckley.

He only became well known to the general public because he had a weekly show on Public Television

He was against Civil Rights, because he believed that segregation was a States' Rights issue.

Before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Brooks argued for American military intervention, echoing the belief of commentators and political figures that American and British forces would be welcomed as liberators.[56][57] In 2005, Brooks wrote what columnist Jonathan Chait described as "a witheringly condescending" column portraying Senator Harry Reid as an "unhinged conspiracy theorist because he accused the [George W. Bush] administration of falsifying its Iraq intelligence."[58][59] By 2008, five years into the war, Brooks maintained that the decision to go to war was correct, but that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld had botched U.S. war efforts.[60]

Not very interested in what David Brooks has to say. About anything.

after a lively debate over manscaping methods, Andrew Schulz leaned back into the couch and brought the chin-wag to a screeching halt: “Are you guys, like—do you feel existential anxiety about the war?”

It is statements like this that tell you in no uncertain terms that Idiocracy was a documentary and we're now living in it.

Can you imagine someone saying this in January 1942? "The Roosevelt Japan thing... it's really making me existentially anxious when I should be enjoying my manscaping right now..."

I know you're not supposed to say the R word no more, but... What a nation of Rs.

How often does it happen that the stuffed sausage Cheung or Leavitt say something like “literally FAKE NEWS" and then something turns out to be true?
