Update: Mentioned my issue offhand and she walked me through it. Turns out in sound settings under the recording tab the microphone was disabled which made steam all grumpy. My issue was looking under the playback tab and just seeing it was enabled.

Highly doubt someone’s gonna find this post for troubleshooting but the amount of threads I’ve seen with “nvm fixed” or no update on it.

If it uses code/art that was stolen from someone else or denied someone who could have produced that code/art a job then I don't want it. If that's the majority of games going forward, then I guess I'll just play classics or go outside and become social or something

Would need a good definition for what is an "AI" game. Maybe 3-5 tags saying how much it was used in the development.

Did the devs use LLM coding tools with proper human reviewed code?
Did the devs use LLM generated artwork?
Did the devs just type "make a copy of this game" and post what got spit out?

First option is going to be in the bulk of games made going forward. Second will probably be in a lot of games. Third should just be banned outright.

edit: If it's just a "was AI used in the creation of this game" then everything is going to have an AI tag. It'll be like California's Prop 65 where the tag means nothing cause everything has it.

Pretty sure this is on Bethesda, I think you can have the bundles work as normal and discount the bundled products or you can have a set price for the bundle which they then discount separately (which is what is happening here). Usually I see that on things like this, deluxe editions that are broken out into the parts

In early 2027 we are planning changes to how some promotions work on Steam as we look to move away from a manual calendar-based approach and into something more dynamic and personalized for each customer

Sounds sus, sounds a bit like squeezing money with as small discounts as possible. I think, it was Sony who already does something like that?

I hope this will not turn into a shit bingo

If you want to bluntly block a full instance, it's reasonable to expect that you will miss out on content posted in that instance.

The rest of the Fediverse doesn't have to live with all this no-attribution cross-post spam shit just because the likes of you want to continue to eat cake they pretended to not want.

But in any case, my view (and many others) doesn't matter, since instance admins are aware of the situation, and many of them decided to not do anything about it.
