You got me!! Not that specific tree in particular, but it was part of the colors and scale reference.

Holup...that wouldn't happen to be the tree from Scavengers' Reign, would it?

Ancient, compassionate, ever restful shade.

so vibrant!

Oh, that's lovely work.

I love your pixel art. I've been staring at each image and keep being amazed how clean your colors are.

Lay's style is easy to spot. I once almost denounced Lay to Lay as an art thief 😁

ah. yeah that's real

honestly i haven't been doing the best either, but i think having the daily pixelart as a small and simple obligation helps with that

especially during the months where i've used it like a diary, theming each drawing around something about that day, good or bad

maybe you could start with something like that?

I got Aseprite from a friend, but my life's been pretty shitty for months now so I haven't got around to actually feel creative. :/

thanks!!

and i'd encourage you to try pixelart yourself; you don't need any fancy tools to get going. in fact, i started with just MS Paint, although obviously nowadays i mainly use... uh... MS Paint... plus GIMP for scaling and transparency sometimes (i'll cave and learn aseprite eventually, but today is not that day)

Dang, that's awesome. I never really did pixelart, it would probably be interesting if I did such a thing as a complete art newb. lol

I literally spent 10 minutes looking for this post to let you know you should work with this person https://retrofed.com/static/media/posts/7P/ir/7Pir6NkYzgSvppb.png.

Turns out it was you.

Amazing work

GTA Mars

This reminded me of this.

Yo i would play the fuck out of this if someone made a game.
I bet someone could make a space station 14 custom map that follows the book, there's already botany, gases, vehicles, construction...

Finally, a pixel depiction of Terra. /s

This is amazing work.

I don't think the shadow size makes much sense unless your spaceships are huuuuuge.

Now imagine if all the sound effects were recorded with a phone and the dude making all of them with his mouth

Pew pew pew pew!

i really like the color palette

I can hear this image

There’s also !shmups@lemmus.org and !shmups@lemmy.world.

I didn't recognize the craters :p

No particular place, this is done without reference.

Seen from where on earth?
