Preparing for the future.

I bought a mini pc recently. It came with windows. The only reason I even booted into windows was because I wasn’t quick enough with the bios button to install Lunix
"Let's find your perfect PC match"
Does Microsoft want you to date a PC or something?
Instructions here:
For real how do I disable that shit? The most recent got rid of the skip button, and I had to let it fail to log into a Microsoft account like 3 times before it let me start saying no to shit.
Starting the countdown to when it just says "we're putting all your shit on the cloud and forcing you to Windows 11 now, cuz fuck you, that's why."
353rd time
Maybe later 😊
And by finishing they mean; lets ask you the same questions you said no to. Again. For the third time.
windows claiming to have a long battery life when I know for a fact that linux uses next to none when sitting idle pisses me off the most
‘Let’s finish setting up your device’
Lets not.
Easy until you have to troubleshoot anything
Or debloat anything
Or tinker any settings
Or have to follow tutorials full of screenshots because idk, Windows expects users to not be able to read more than three phrases at a time?
accidental necrobump o_o
nixpkgs has so many packets, there's no way it hasn't been hacked yet.
hah, I too was initially confused why Linus hasn't given the middle finger to google, turns out this is the video where he does give a middle finger but to Nvidia
Ahh, yeah, that does change things. Thank you.
tbf the video is from 2012, the same one that produced this quality quote

While it's correct that Android is Linux, I feel that it shouldn't count and it's incongruent with Linux as a whole. With what Google has done, and plans to do, I feel that it's disingenuous to count Android when talking about Linux market share.
Systemd? More like systemdeez.
I don't understand. Why do we even care about some local law?
For now
Soon
Feel weird to have recognized it immediately because I saw a YT video about the character last week ('It's not Ye Olde English, the Y is actually TH'), and recognize the "Þ" symbol as representing 'th' in old European texts: https://ilifehacks.com/thorn-letter/
They're either a linguist, from Northern Europe, or a prat. God knows what kind of keyboard they're using, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, I guess.
So we just need an app where you pick a min and max age and it just randomizes between them every time it’s requested.
I hate how alarmist Linux users are, systemd will be doing no "verification", this is just a field in the userdb.
