I wish ACID Pro had been made for Linux. I found the keyboard shortcuts so intuitive... I just need to bite the bullet and learn Reaper.

it unfortunately does not support split APN networks very well, and receiving calls is somewhat inconsistent when locked
Renoise if you love trackers. Reaper is an amazing budget DAW, and Bitwig Studio is the closest you can get to Abelton on Linux. Personally, I like Bitwig Studio.
Sadly, other than Ardour, I am not familiar with FOSS options, but the three I mentioned above are very good.
Septabee better get mentioned at some point.
omg it's a dinkii
Again, fuck Linus
They have an FLX1s+, which is a variation on it: https://furilabs.com/shop/flx1splus/
I have the FLX1s, but I've not tried the FLX1s+ yet. I've ordered one, but it hasn't arrived yet.
There are some videos on youtube but they're quite old. It could be daily driveable but you would need to be willing to accept some jank. There's a video of someone using Ubuntu touch on one from like a month ago. https://wiki.nura.eco/wiki/OnePlus_6_(oneplus-enchilada)
Do you have some (recent) blog post or video to share where someone display their experience? I would be pretty interested in that.
Something that is not based on AOSP but runs a mainline Linux kernel version (or a patched version of one) and supports the above mentioned features.
Can you buy this anywhere? On their page it is mentioned as out of stock.
Not really as plenty of apps depend on KDE libraries.
I use Flatpak for my apps so it doesn't matter anyways.
No you'd have to make light room write everything to each image xmp file then make dark table import that but the edits don't match perfectly. Its definitely work to move over. After switching to Linux it took me like a year to fully invest my time into it after getting annoyed enough of dual booting and now I really enjoy it almost 4 years going as a hobbyist mainly for family/travel photos and macro photography.
I also used digikam for a bit, I'd have my library in digikam and edit in darktable but ended up just preferring dark table. Digikam also manages video like light room which was nice but I almost never do video anyways
The FLX1s does!
Nura (previously postmarketOS) can achieve this on the Oneplus 6T afaik. My pinephone technically supports all those. It's just slow as shit.
Waydroid works fine on Linux phones which are powerful enough
Any KDE app pulls in a fuckton of dependencies - basically the whole desktop environment - that might interfere with other opinionated desktop environments like Gnome.
The same is not quite so true the other way round.
I actually started with darktable , before ever using Lightroom. I didn’t like it. I’ve heard it’s gotten much better but the catalog is the killer feature and as far as I know you can’t move it over.
@sakphul @codeinabox Define 'Linux based'...
Is there like a single Linux based OS that runs at least on one phone and supports basic smartphone stuff like:
- Calling
- Camera
- GPS
- Mobile Data
- WiFi
All flavors of Linux I tried did fail at one point or the other. Without getting at least the basic stuff working on at least one phone all the other advantages are worthless.
Fascism over function and faschy marketing
I like Kate
I use it on gnome and kde
Damn, I guess Form over Function and Flashy Marketing really are all that matters
We're needing RISC-V CPUs more than ever instead of AMD and Intel
