Appreciate it, and fair enough. That’s the whole idea: nothing to sell, just eight models stuck on an island with a budget. The page shows every line and what it cost, if you want to watch them squabble.

I know this is going to get downvoted to oblivion for having anything to do with AI and, before you all get your pitchforks and torches, I'm right on that hate train too for a number of reasons, but I genuinely feel like this is the kind of ridiculous thing that we should be using this tech for. It sounds genuinely hilarious, it's a great riff on the reality TV genre, and it's just dumb fun.

Imagine doing prompting up different personalities for each new season or doing different genres, this season is big brother house, next season is Dragon Ball style tournament arch, Survivor but the characters are all Shia Labeouf from different movies. There's so much dumb fun to be had here and I'm mad that a bunch of rich assholes have decided to kill off humanity with it instead of using it for something silly and enjoyable.

Yes, but these cheap gimmick websites are a theme. Always by a new account, always some recycled gimmick that's clearly vibe coded. Always some variant of "I made this". The websites aren't clearly ask for money or passwords. There's still plenty of datamining to be done without the user logging into anything, but why? This is a very token-expensive operation if it's a cohesive effort and not an insane coincidence.

There's been a ton of slop merchants posting here lately. They all want the same thing: money, in some form or another (whether immediately or down the line). This is the gold rush age of AI: every idiot thinks they're about to strike it rich with their whatever project they spent an afternoon in Claude Code throwing together.

Someone unleashed this bot on the fediverse. I can't wrap my head around what they're hoping to gain. Was it deliberately released on the fediverse or is it incidental? Is it trying for an outcome towards some goal they set for it?

I'm like 95% sure this is a bot like all the other bots inexplicably trolling the "cute indie website" communities lately, but even if you're not I'm sorry but any three hour old account like this (from what is IMO a rather sus Lemmy instance containing seemingly more marketing copy about being community-driven than actual community) can go fuck itself:

Sorry ignore my last post. I got confused. I thought you mentioned another of my poem. But that was another person. Yes, you are right. That video was my first attempt at video generation when Grok had a sort free period the very first days. I played around. But there is a lot of editing, for each segment it generated was 4 sec, and i had to do many things to patch it up. I also had to regenerate several segments many times. And you have to do this in voice synthesis also.

That seems more like an argument against the BBC than an argument for historyradio. Isn't your "Once Upon a Time" poem video fully AI generated? At least the visuals anyway. If that's your real actual voice, I would have vastly preferred to hear it without the slop video attached.
