I promise you any email you've ever used on the internet is public and associated with your person. That shit leaks out of companies the way an open container leaks when you turn it upside down.

This is not a China-praise thread, but an America-hate thread. It is being done by pointing out that an objectively shitty empire is somehow managing to do the obviously correct thing where the entire western world seems to have chosen social suicide.

My desktop is on its third major version upgrade. I don't pay attention to breaking changes, and somehow I've still been made aware of the few packages that require something. Those packages usually include some kind of easy step by step or a script to migrate.

It's really quite a breeze to upgrade Debian.

Yes, but these cheap gimmick websites are a theme. Always by a new account, always some recycled gimmick that's clearly vibe coded. Always some variant of "I made this". The websites aren't clearly ask for money or passwords. There's still plenty of datamining to be done without the user logging into anything, but why? This is a very token-expensive operation if it's a cohesive effort and not an insane coincidence.

Someone unleashed this bot on the fediverse. I can't wrap my head around what they're hoping to gain. Was it deliberately released on the fediverse or is it incidental? Is it trying for an outcome towards some goal they set for it?
