Was trying to figure out why OBS won't see my war thunder audio as input source, watched few tutorials on OBS audio and eventually gave up thinking once again most of them instructions and programs made by neurotypicals for neurotypicals and I understand 0 in it

Back to running a fever. Because I was still sick yesterday, mother had to take twin to the root canal. They couldn't finish it so we take twin in to finish it like December to an even further away location. Universal healthcare or I fucking scream.

    Maybe I scream anyway.

Twin, who reads my shit, was also a dingus. You have to wait to eat after a root canal until all the numbing wears off. Twin was not attempting to improve circulation to their face at all. No rubbing, no gentle jaw movements, no heat compress. Once they did that, it cleared up. But my hungry ass was immediately starting to trying and unnumb my face after my root canals. So I thought it might be a complication and the numbing was gonna last awhile. Nope.

My spot would be on the computer. No matter what I have to be on the computer at 7pm though. An event in Starmourn requires my leafy tree ass.

  • The poor neurotypical, who is apparently better than me at reading between the lines can't accept a "No, I don't feel like coming" as an answer and needs to keep bothering me about it and making me feel guilty can't get their feelings hurt. Poor thing.

Meanwhile, fuck me for not wanting to tell them "I don't feel well in crowds because they are noisy and drain my already poor social battery so I end up being a bother to everyone because when I turn off for overstimulation everyone gets worried" and make them feel guilty for the last time this actually happened, right?

Well, NO. At a point in my life I started worrying about MY feelings too. I will say no in a polite and assertive way, and if you won't accept it, then it will be your problem and you will regret pressing for a week about the matter. I couldn't care less about your NT feelings if you don't care about mine. And if I ruin your christmas mood, live with it.

I'm AuDHD and I also struggle with alexithymia, which I think is probably what you're describing in your last sentence? (Although in my case, I don't struggle with understanding other people's feelings, just my own.) But having the ability to listen to other people's problems attentively, and the ability to communicate your own preferences (if not feelings) plainly without playing games, is enough to put you in the realm of "more emotionally intelligent than most". And these are things that a certain level of autism tends to promote.

I often get praised for my emotional intelligence and anecdotally at least I think autistic people get dumped on a lot because... Idk? Being AFAB probably isn't helping my case and I get the barest acquaintances telling me the wildest shit as I just sit there like a deer in headlights.

Emotional intelligence is a survival mechanism that takes up so much energy to maintain. Even if I had some energy for myself, the only emotions I really recognize in myself are joy and anger(simplification, don't bother with advice give me advice).
