Gotta love Toxic Masculinity culture, where the only emotion a man can have is anger, the only hobbies he can have are gaming or something physical, like shooting or sports, and the only video games he can play are shoot-‘em-up ones, because all the others are ‘sissy’ or ‘not real games’.

And, of course, the only shows he can watch or like are shoot-‘em-up blow-em-ups. And he must take them super seriously and at face value. Starship Troopers is a straightforward action flick.

I know that the producer is Jewish, the writers are Jewish, I am Jewish, and most of the other (actors who played) Ferengi are Jewish, so keep that in mind,” Shimerman said. “When I traveled to Australia, they said to me, ‘C’mon the Ferengi are the Chinese, right?’ When I travel to England, ‘C’mon, the Ferengi are the Irish, right? When I travel to different parts of the world, it is the outsider in their community that is the Ferengi. It happens that here in America, perhaps we think it is the Jews. But in other parts of the world, they don’t think of that at all—they just think of another stereotype.

Oh yeah and the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons speaks Klingon. Other than that, nuthin

They're not horrible caricatures though! Ignore the big ears, big noses and love of money! They keep their females naked, that's not Jewish at all!

Honestly, although I do love how the Ferengi are explored in DS9, whoever came up with the basic design needs therapy.
