It's the one thing that tangibly affects the uninformed median voter. Everything else can be ignored or blamed on immigrants or something, but paying like $20 extra at the pump every week is right in their face.

I volunteer with a voter advocacy group, and from our internal analysis that I just saw, Texas Latino early voting is at 2.1 M as of 2 days ago. To put it into perspective, the 2024 presidential election only had 2.0 M. Just one data point to illustrate that turnout is HUGE.

gtfo with the accelerationism. Democrats also serve the capitalist state which has committed numerous atrocities in the name of profits, but they're way better for the common worker than the alternative.

    Bozo.

    Does. Not. Matter.

They're planning shenanigans, so everyone needs to VOTE no matter what. The American experiment's continuation depends on you voting.

Yes to most of what you're saying, but

The US government knows everything everyone is doing

No. That's what they want you to think. It does know a lot more than we think, but nowhere near everything. It likely does know where your phones (aka you if you're with it) are at all times, despite having GPS on or off. It also likely collects everything or most things you do online unless you're really careful with Tor and what not, even then it's not clear.

Yep, and they're already deploying ICE to polling places. I just saw an example in Florida, where they "had to pull someone over and it happened to be a few feet away from a polling place" and they "happened to stay there for a long time".

Buckle up, stock up on necessary items for food, water, and safety, and VOTE.

Also please do some phone banks to get others to vote too. Environmental Voter Project is a great organization that I've done for the last few weeks.

It's not hard at all, each session is only an hour, and you make calls at your own pace. It feels great to actually get people out to vote, because instead of just having a 1x impact by casting your own vote, you could have a 100x impact if you encourage 100 people to vote (which isn't hard, you can hit 100 in like 3 one hour sessions). This legitimately makes a difference in elections, take a look at their results.

There will be a massive blue wave, but Republicans aren't simply letting themselves be Constitutionally and democratically removed from power. They're not leaving or losing, they know this is their last stand and will do anything to keep power. They've said they will cheat, not accept results, and essentially coup the government when they lose.

I understand the feeling, but it really does feel different this time. There's a groundswell for the first time in my life of a real democratic socialist movement, or even just social democracy. Also as the authoritarian regime pushes more and more, there will be more and more stochastic "terrorist" attacks, like assassinations and what not. It's not going to be some major revolution, because at least America isn't even close to that yet, but the limited "force" will get the ruling elite to start thinking about how large the actual opposition is.

...then they'll crack down even harder of course. Maybe that will cause even harder push back, but I'm not sure at this point.
