So, guys, I’ve had a pretty great experience with GMail, from a small company… they index the Internet, whatever that means. Anyway, the sign up is free and and I don’t have to bring a domain… again, not sure what that means, but it sounds nice.
The Bluetooth readers as cars drive by, is that what you’re talking about?
What are the other part(s)?
Danfoss said some systems targeted in the Netherlands remained connected to unsecured networks and were still using default passwords.
Speculating, but I would imagine the attackers were able to either override the settings using default or easily guessed passwords, or perhaps even replacing the firmware or programming to spoil the food. Industrial controllers are not the most secure devices. That world is due for a reality check.
I dunno, sounds like socialism to me.
Trying to escape your captors is normal response.
I am going to go the other way and say the more, the merrier. I like to see new and interesting things that someone did to scratch an itch or solve a problem. I may not use it or agree with how they developed it or the license they chose, etc., but I still like seeing the posts about it.
I’ll tug on that thread… so can we not use Windows or macOS to develop OSS code on? It has to be on a Linux machine? What if the BIOS is closed source or it’s using binary blobs for the video drivers?
My point is that this is the reason to popularize a foundational framework that these vibe coders can pull from and have a baseline quality to them. Standardized license, skeleton project plan, etc. Then even if they are abandoned by the original, it could still be useful if further development is needed and it should meet a minimum quality standard.
Better smart driver technology hitting the road maybe? Certainly can’t be more walkable cities.
On the collision aspect of the multiplayer setup, if the collision is within 1/2s of each other as an example, have you considered undoing both players moves with the same message, collision detected? That might make it a bit more fair.
You know he doesn’t mean it. He’d never actually do it. I mean $8/day forever? He’d never pay.
