@illusionist Yeah, display only. The blog is a pile of files with no actor behind it. The Mastodon post is the actual thread, Lemmy got it because the post mentions the community, and the page pulls that post's replies from the Mastodon API when someone opens it.@selfhosted

@illusionist Thanks! The nicest part is how little there is to it: the blog stays a pile of static files, and a small script fetches the replies to one post and renders them under the article. Happy to answer questions if you want to set up something similar.@selfhosted

@baldur Fair. It's a stock theme with the defaults left on, and I spent the time on the plumbing instead of the front. Covers, a proper footer and a bit of identity are going in this week – if there's one thing in particular that put you off, I'd like to hear it.@selfhosted

@ComradeMiao Drafted with an AI from my own build notes, then edited by me – the setup, the bugs and the numbers are all mine and running. If something in it reads like slop, tell me which part and I'll fix it; happy to answer questions about the actual setup.

New post: A static blog with the fediverse as its comment systemHow this site works: a Hugo build that publishes on git push, a toot that doubles as the comment thread, replies from Mastodon and Bluesky rendered as plain text, a redaction check that refuses to deploy my own mistakes, and three bugs that got past every check but one: two…blog.fullast.nu/posts/2026-10-#homelab #selfhosted #selfhosting #blog #hugo #mastodon #bluesky #fediverse@selfhosted

New post: Cleaning up metadata in a large Audiobookshelf library, one night at a timeHow I taught a nightly job to identify tens of thousands of audiobooks and e-books from a national library catalogue and two store APIs - with per-night rollback, an honest account of my own mistakes, and the regex that turned Swedish intoblog.fullast.nu/posts/2026-10-@selfhosted#homelab #selfhosted #selfhosting #audiobookshelf #metadata #python #audiobooks #ebooks
