I was having a look into the cartridge structure, and I'm struggling to nail down if Switch 2 cartridges use the ROM (discontinued by Macronix) of the Switch 1 cartridges, or if they use commodity NAND. Has anyone got an idea? I don't really want to tear down my game cards, but knowing that would tell us how much this affects Switch 2. The headline revision suggests NAND, which would imply that there's going to be continued supply for as long as Nintendo wants for Switch 2 considering NAND is everywhere, but some other sources are saying ROM.
I'm waiting for Linux 7.4 to drop so I can have non-Steam games working with my Switch 2 Pro Controller out of the box.
On this topic, there are adapter plates you can get for moka pots (basically just a piece of steel on a handle) so you can use them on induction.
Fast heating, wipe clean, works off clean electricity, roasts me less in the summer, doesn't care about the air coming from a window, starts the first time every time, what more could I ask for? I got this cheap plug in one and it dropkicks my installed gas stove in basically every metric.
Damn, you play fast. How many hours is the whole campaign?
What they are talking about is an open source piece of software (Meshtastic) that's using a well-known (if specific to Chromium) standard, WebUSB. It's a genuine pain point, and stuff like this needs to work out of the box, no manually written udev rules required.
Ah, permissions chicanery. Had to deal with that with connecting a Switch 2 controller with a WebUSB enabler. To be fair, once you add the right udev rules (it is a bit of a pain, yes), it should work for any other devices of the same type (I think it's any with the same USB ID so like same manufacturer and model? Don't quote me on that though). Still, I wish Chromium (since Firefox as far as I know still doesn't support WebUSB) could sort it out by itself (like just have an "allow" button rather than writing udev config files yourself) or at least be a bit more helpful in pointing you the right way with a helpful error message.
You do have to get used to weird edge cases like these throwing a spanner in the works, just like you have weird stuff on Windows (trying to get some older Android devices to communicate in fastboot mode in Windows makes me feel like Odysseus).
Asking around and screwing around usually gets you places though. Eventually you find something.
We are so close. Got it preloaded, I'm so ready.
What I've always loved about the series is that it makes sure to remind you, every game (okay maybe excluding 1 and 2), that war is hell, and peace is the only way forward. 8 feels like it's going to hit like a sack of bricks.
Had a watch of this just earlier. That atmosphere, Project Aces are just giving us nothing but treats lately after years of quiet.
I think this might be the most hyped I have ever been for a game launch. LETS GOOOOOOOOO
~18 degrees Celsius
When can I move in? /s
but seriously that's my ideal temperature year round, much to the chagrin of anyone else when I get a hotel room with AC
