We had a rescue street dog who was constantly escaping. He ended up living with another family for a few weeks because they’d never heard of id chips. When we eventually traced him and went to pick him up, he looked quite peeved. He conveyed “oh ffs not you” from his side-eye very effectively. They’d been giving him roast dinners and letting him sleep on their bed.

Yeah, concluding that from 1 day’s worth of trading is brave. Last 5 years or so shows much more volatility but still generally upwards… I can’t be bothered to see what those general spikes align with.

I’m on a train in the uk. To make things even worse, they’re handing out DfT survey QR codes. I decided to pass the time by filling it in. It’s by ‘Savanta Research’ and they’ve clearly never travelled by train. If you don’t get all the way to the end of a 15+ step form without submitting, you lose everything when you go through a tunnel and momentarily lose connectivity. It couldn’t be designed to be worse for filling in on the go.

I’ve been running Arch (vanilla) on a dell laptop for more than a year now, and really happy with it. I also just installed Omarchy on an ancient machine both to try to give it a bit more life and try out a tiling window manager.

I’m now planning to move my main desktop machine over from windows 10, but it has a 1070ti graphics card—which I’m quite happy with as I don’t game at all, and only occasionally run small local LLM models for messing around. I don’t need a newer card, but of course, Nvidia…

So, would I be better off replacing it now with AMD or something else, or just using the older drivers? Will the 580xx- driver still give me a few years before I need to worry.?

I will miss RTX Voice, but happy to give noisettorch a go.
