This exact thing happened to me last year after I got a huge cut on my leg after an e bike accident. Turned out to be a skin infection (cellulitis). They prescribed some antibiotics and it got better after a few days. Best of luck, op!

When I was in high school, my math teacher had a strict no texting policy. This was in the flip phone era.

There was one girl who was always rude and disruptive, and would openly text in front of the teacher and curse him out if he commented. He told her if she did it again then he would toss her phone out the window.

She promptly pulled out her RAZR flip phone and started texting, and he grabbed it and tossed it out the window. She had to go and find it after class. 🀣

She did get back at him later in the year though, when he was checking a message from his wife and she called it out. He then tossed his own phone out the window.

Yeah, the job market is so bad right now. I was unemployed from June 2025 to August 2026.

I only got the job I'm in now because it's a sister company to the place I used to work, and I knew people. 1,000+ applications and only 10 interviews, and none of them hired me in the end.

Maybe I'm an outlier, but I bought a used 2011 Tundra with 230k miles on it for $7k. It's the base model, bone stock except for replacing the broken radio and I use it to tow the RV I live in and transport my ebike that's the size of a moped or small motorcycle.

I'm also non-binary and stuck some cutesy cat stickers on my back window. πŸ˜‚ The idea of spending over $50k on a truck is just insane. I found the original dealer window sticker in the glove box and mine sold for $21k new in 2011.

I live in Texas and pass these huge lifted trucks with the super wide-set tires and always wonder how they can even load anything into the bed. And if MY truck gets 17-18mpg on a good day, what is THEIR monstrosity getting? 😭

I've been daily driving GrapheneOS for a while now and I love it (Pixel 9a). Looking forward to seeing what Motorola comes out with that's supported by Graphene in the future.

I've also used iodΓ©OS, CalyxOS, LineageOS and Ubuntu Touch. They're all great, but Ubuntu Touch still isn't ready for daily driving for my own use case.

  • Thank you (lemmy.world)

I just had to say thank you to the developers for such an awesome Lemmy client.

I am still clutching on to the remnants of Sync for Reddit, and bits are slowly breaking over time. But having Summit and slowly becoming more active with Lemmy has been a godsend.

I guess there are no plans for a Reddit port of Summit? πŸ₯²
