Also, in the books (which I should admit I've not read), what exactly were the BG expecting would happen after creating their Quisatz Hadderach? I can't conceive of how they would hope to retain control or, perhaps rather, how their usual manipulation strategies wouldn't have blown up in their faces. Would the person they were looking for be so vulnerable in that way? Would they not still have the capacity to retaliate?

So there i was, hazy in between sleep and wakefulness trying to concentrate on a design problem (which i don't think the dream directly featured but was tangentially related) and whenever i tried to focus on thst problem, i noticed that i'd have to stop breathing to produce the next word in the sentence or weave each syllable into my breathing pattern. Even when i'm typing this out it happens. You guys do it too, right?

In a certain light these groups could be seen as having a yin-yang dynamic in the sense that both can be characterized as fundamentally lacking talent but one wallows in it and the other sees it as a gimmick.
