I'm wanting to add another account of mine on another instance as moderator in communities I mod here. I don't want to have to go and drop comments on old threads or anything to be able to do it. I see there's an API for it

https://lemmy.readme.io/reference/post_community-mod

but I can't see how to get an API key. I've seen some indicator that Lemmy has a developer dashboard where I can find my API key, but I don't see how to access the dashboard.

Any guidance?

I’m an electronics engineer and a guitarist. Like a lot of people, I grew up as a bedroom musician, recording through an interface, a DAW, and plugins — dialing tones that sounded great at home, then completely falling apart once I plugged into a real amp in a rehearsal room.

At some point, the question became unavoidable: Why can’t I bring the same plugin chain I use on my computer into a pedal?

This is the story of how I spent two years building the guitar pedal I always wanted.

From here, the project will move into software: open-source plugins and amp modeling.

I think it would make you a "see how they vote after the first wave" on their suppression schedule. Like if it scares you into voting "correctly" after all the reliable "wrong" voters are purged ... then you can keep voting.

EarthQuaker Devices has partnered with guitar amp expert Dr. Z for the ZEQD-Pre – a tube-loaded preamp that might just be the pedal that digital modeler users have been dreaming of.

It’s a pretty big collaboration. On the one hand, you have one of the gear world’s pre-eminent effects pedal makers. On the other, you have a boutique amp manufacturer whose builds have been championed by the likes of Joe Walsh.

The ZEQD-Pre Tube Pre Amp, then, is enticing indeed. Effectively, it aims to replicate the sound, feel, and response of an all-analog tube amplifier. Simple on paper, but there’s more to it than that.

The fine folks at That Pedal Show have taken on the task of defining common tone buzzwords ..

Welcome to the show. You've been asking for this for a looong time, and it feels like we’re just getting started. All those tone buzzwords - transparent, scratchy, mids, bottom end, chewy… and so on and so on.

They mean something to us in the moment of saying them, but do they mean anything beyond that?

Join us then, as we pull a bunch of words at random from The Fez Of Truth and attempt to explain and demonstrate what they mean. What could possibly go right?

I see these two as the main search results

Anybody here who has tried both care to give a comparison? I'm on Fedora 43 and have been using Flatpaks quite a bit over the old 3rd party yum/dns repo method for supplemental stuff like this. I guess that gives Packet a bit of an edge for now, as the rquickshare dev uses a 3rd party framework that doesn't yet support Flatpaks. But if the consensus is that rquickshare is better then grabbing the RPM directly is an option.

“I moved over to Fender for a couple of years, learning a lot of history there – but also how I didn’t want to make a guitar”

Very few names in our industry command as much respect as John Suhr’s. His creations are widely considered to be world-beating manifestations of design and craft colliding at the highest possible level, sitting at the ultra-boutique end of guitar manufacturing.
