In a single sentiment? Fuck em.

If you didn’t want me to sit there watching the content cutscene, reading intro text and participating in your game, don’t put cutscenes and text in. Somebody worked on it and put in the effort, least I can do is try and enjoy it without peer pressure to get me to skip any optional bits.

Ultimately a good mmo should be playable and fun solo without the need to involve other people, but adds interesting twists, complexities and mechanics when there’s multiple people attempting the same content as a group.

The game design should serve the people playing it, not people serving the design of the game in order to make it playable.

    Cranberry cobbler

    • Cup and a half of cranberries (fresh or partially frozen is fine too)

    • Half cup milk 3%

    • Half a cup melted unsalted butter

    • One cup flour

    • One cup sugar

    • Heaping teaspoon baking powder

    • Half teaspoon salt

    • Large egg

    • 3 bowls, 1 of which is large

    • Cast iron skillet 10 inch

Use some of the butter to grease up the cast iron skillet all around.

Bowl. Toss cranberries with some of the sugar ( 2-3 tablespoons )

Large bowl. Salt, flour, baking powder, reminder of the sugar in the other bowl. Whisk.

Third bowl. Milk. Egg. Whisk together. Add remainder of butter. Whisk some more. Pour mixture into the large bowl with the dry ingredients. Whisk till combined.

Pour mixture from large bowl into buttered up skillet, sprinkle sugared cranberries all around on top.

Bake in oven at 350F-375F (oven dependent) for 30ish till springy. Let sit for a bit after taking out of the oven.

Takes about 15 minutes to prep, vanishes in about roughly the same time too.

I eyeball the measurements for the most part, feel free to adjust the sugar levels based on your preference, though I’d advise not cutting it out entirely.

For me I think I’d prefer a lighter colour, maybe something akin to a fog with some varieties in the consistency of it so it doesn’t feel like a solid wall of grey-white.

    Natively blind people, yeah.

People who had vision previously supposedly do experience some residual perception when they lose sight, at least from what I heard

I guess it also varies on the nature of the blindness and what caused it

Would it just be pitch black? Or have streaks and stars like you rubbed your eyes for too long?

Ghostly misty white? Like in a fog?

Would it be a flat colour or shade or something that moves?

Perhaps some sort of specific background like a Tv static? Or a room/building you like similar to what some vr spaces do but recreated with splotches of colours maybe?

Or something more exotic like a constantly changing rainbow?

Would like to hear what you’d choose and why that specifically

The assumption would also be that you can’t really change it later, the choice and all the variables would be locked in, barring some minor variation perhaps ( brighter/darker or more/less vibrant for example)
