I see these threads and often will check in a few times during the game to see if anyone else does engage with them. I liked this same thing on Reddit and want to see it be a thing here, because I enjoy the discussion. I hope they don't disable them before there is more traction around the posts.

I had family in town visiting a while back. They brought their RV and were staying at a nice park by a lake. While there I decided to walk my dog down one of the paths to the lake. When we reached the edge of the water we stood there for a second and he started sniffing around. For whatever reason, I thought, "this would be a great place for a snake to be right now". As I completed the thought I looked towards my dog and about 2 feet in front of him, where the bank met the water was a fairly large water moccasin. I locked the leash and pulled my dog back to me and then left. It was very surreal. If I had waited another 10 seconds I'm sure my dog would have ended up being bitten.

I think it's kind of a chicken-and-egg problem. Hopefully the community existing and having regular posts increases the odds of user interaction like comments and votes, which would naturally lead to more and more posts from actual members. Hopefully whoever is running that bot can wind it down while actual engagement ramps up.

I'm curious to understand how Google defines "malicious apps" that they're using as the justification for this.

Conceivably, google revoking a certificate will mean an app installed outside of google play, will stop working for users.

How do they feel about celebrite? And the other companies that violate user privacy as their sole reason for existing. Will they still get "permission" for their apps? Seems like a great way to protect users by not issuing one to them...
