So Who Gives A Crap (who I haven't ordered from in many years, I remember my kids were very little) have just informed me that they've had a data breach of full name, phone number, email address, billing/home address and the amount spent in total for the account. Why are these companies keeping details for so long? This is almost as bad as the periodontal clinic that had the same issue a few months back, leaked my details when I hadn't been a customer of theirs for over 13 years. There has to be a time by which the details of dormant accounts or old accounts are deleted. They shouldn't be allowed to just keep your details forever when you aren't engaging their services. I feel like they aren't being careful enough.
Thankyou ๐ฅน
Only got one day of work this week, so I've spent time whizzing around with my new vacuum cleaner and reorganising cupboards, throwing stuff out, getting the Xmas shopping done, donating old clothes and washing curtains and such. I bought some new cheap curtains and they're actually not bad, give Elder's room a bit of a lift. I've made the most of my time whilst also managing to occasionally be very lazy, so I'm feeling fairly chuffed with myself.
That's so true! This one's a Mitsubishi, prior to owning it I never even knew they made fridges. It was given to me for nothing by a charity when it was brand new and I was stranded and destitute in a country town trying to pay out both a business and residential lease. It's been carted halfway around the state and is older than my kids, (and therefore too small) but I just can't afford to bring myself to replace it because it still works fine pats fridge again "don't you darling!" smiles and nods encouragingly. It's funny how I can get sentimental about whitegoods. We've been through a lot together.
I have famously shown my fridge already in this sub, a long time ago. It is a 16 year old embarrassment, covered in kids artwork, dents, photos, old magnets, notes and half-removed stickers. All your fridge doors put me to shame, every single one. Pats fridge reassuringly "I mean, goooood fridge, niiiiice fridge, keep going sweetheart!"
Woo hoo! ๐ Congratulations!
Went to Melbourne central today and wandered around with the kids looking at things. So many boutiquey places, I don't know how they stay in business. My eldest has been longingly eyeing off the Turmeric Latte fragrance from Lush for a while, and again today he had a spray of it and sighed and said it was beyond his price range. Little does he know I've bought it for him as a Christmas gift and I was really hoping he didn't buy it ๐
Good on you! I've been cutting my own hair for probably around 15 years, saved a fortune doing it.
I was just reading about biphasic sleep and suddenly I understand myself a whole lot better. Throughout human history, people have gone to bed just after dark and slept, awaking naturally in the middle of the night. They would spend an hour or so doing quiet stuff like reading, checking the kids, in prayer, stoke the fire, have a drink or whatever, then go back to sleep again until daybreak. I've always slept in a "split shift" and felt bad because I couldn't do a solid 8 hours or so. Apparently people have only been sleeping in a solid block since the advent of modern electric lights. So I'm not a bad sleeper after all ๐ค
Happy birthday Eagle! ๐๐ฆ
I'm happy happy happy! So excited, my new vacuum cleaner arrived today. I realised it's the first time I've ever bought one! Someone's mum or whatever is always getting a new one so they've given me their old one, and this has happened all my life. It was an impatient few hours waiting for it to charge up but I've been buzzing around vacuuming at night like I did when I was younger ๐ The old one was legendary but actually too heavy and cumbersome to lug around, but this one is much easier.
I found this too, with riding my bike. So many places had broken air hoses that I started carrying my own bike pump in my backpack!
