I think "how come group who believes X also believes Y" type questions often fail to account for the fact that there is always more variation within a group than between groups - the people saying X and the people saying Y are often different.

That said, i personally support killing the rich and oppose the death penalty because both decentralize power, which reduces inequality and thus improves society.

But i really don't think that many people here share those views.

Ontario, OR, where the kidnapper was arrested, is right on the idaho border. I dunno exactly why it's being tried in boise but maybe he's still listed as resident there or some such?

Northeast OR is basically idaho, culturally and politically, it's likely he had some kinda connections that stretched across the border.

I never played any matrix games, but i remember thinking that Saints Row 4 was the best matrix game ever. It had all the physics breaking reality hacking you could want.

鬼島 "ghost island" is the phrase taiwanese use to talk about the general feeling of malaise that comes with taiwan's precarious political position, the difficulty of finding good work, new opportunities or hope for the future.

I can imagine that makes organizing much harder.

Since the supreme court pretended that presidential immunity is constitutional and we can't prosecute trump for his open criminality, rendering him to iran is what justice demands. Probably the only people he's hurt more than americans.

He wanted a public execution, after all.

It's barely even hypocrisy. Hypocrisy implies failing to meet a professed standard or concealing your true beliefs.

They just earnestly believe they deserve things that others don't and they're not really afraid to act that way publicly.

    effort of producing journalism

I don't think this has been true of the nyt for some years.

Between a "privacy" browser that steals ads and trains ai on the one hand, and a declining mouthpiece for elites with pretensions of journalism on the other, it's hard to work out who to oppose more.
