Honestly I think within the limitations of live action and the budget. There's probably only so much they can really do. The cartoon show as long as there was budget to produce the cartoon could do just about anything and get as silly as they wanted. I think they probably really were genuinely surprised when they got a second season. But struggled to really write something worthy of it. It was still enjoyable for what it was though.
The antenna were what sold the 2001 for me. That and Warburton. I don't know that I've ever seen anything with Warburton in it that I didn't like. But between him and those damn animatronic antenna. Even though he didn't have the proper cowl Etc it was still very enjoyable. The fox show was definitely a lot campier and low budget. But that sort of worked for it in a way. While they had a lot of star cameos throughout the short run. Just some of the basic scenarios and situations were hilarious. Like the tick fighting the Red Scare in an elevator while Jimmy Carter watched on. But then I'm also an older viewer so probably your mileage could vary.
Unfortunately edland didn't have the full rights to all the characters. So each show is really its own experience. But I think at least some Nostalgia puts the 2001 a little bit out ahead of the Amazon reboot. Even though I could easily recommend it.
The 2001 live action show was enjoyable too. The more recent amazon reboot wasn't bad either. Actually got two seasons and an arc.
Recently switched a system from arch to tumbleweed. After another required manual update intervention. So far I quite like it. And if as claimed is stable enough to not have me having to troubleshoot updates. I will likely be switching several more. It's not quite as on the bleeding edge as arch. But it still has plasma 6.4 and blender 4.4 etc which are the big things for me.
Lol no worries I honestly forgot the spin-off even existed. I was always much more of an IT Crowd person myself. Saw a decent meme someone posted a while back relating to the three main characters of the show with regards to autistic social masking.
100%. It's sort of like an owner's manual for your life lol. It really can help you understand your impulses and frustrations. And even overcome them sometimes. It's not possible all the time. But just knowing can make all the difference.
Sort of, yes. Basically don't be a Sheldon. If you are capable of taking care of yourself or self-diagnosing. You are also capable of understanding and mitigating your behavior and triggers. As well as knowing when to apologize to neuro normies.
Going back to the reference to the show. Nearly all of the main characters on there could be seen as being on the Spectrum somewhere. Sheldon's utter lack of self-awareness and treatment of others was a setup for jokes etc. It was infantalizing. That sort of thing in real life would stress even the best of friends. Neurodivergent or otherwise.
Diagnosis is about understanding. Understanding is the treatment. And understanding goes both ways. It's a bridge between us and neuro normies.
If you identify with any of the things on the list. It's definitely not at all wrong to do some mild self diagnosis. The thing to remember, is that diagnosis official or otherwise does not excuse behavior. But it can help you to understand it and overcome it. And there's no downside in that.
They are all now ultimately owned by the people responsible. why would they want to advertise their responsibility?
CBS and it's reliability on anything to do with news is now a joke. They're blown up any credibility that they may have had left. Turn themselves into a punchline for profits as capitalists are wont.
Anyone here want to hear a joke? Turn on CBS.
And tankies will ironically still hate it.
