Personally I found the final scene of the first season rather lacking. But I also get it because of the covid restrictions.

Perrin's wife was probably a good move imo. It's hard to convey his complex feelings for the axe in a show where we can't hear the character's thoughts. This is a quick fix for that.

Mat's parents is a bit more off for me. I'm not really sure what was gained from that change.

I honestly don't think it was this bad (coming from someone that has read it three times). Some decisions were weird. The focus on Alanna was a bit high. I also unserstood from the beginning that it can't possibly be 1:1, so I went in with the mindset that it was a new turning of the wheel, which might've helped. The first season was thoroughly fucked by covid, ans the second season had to handle the fallout of that. By the third season I thought it really was starting to come together, and I was actually getting excited for its future. I was really bummed out by the cancelation.

I used this as my source.

It seems like out of the 20 states using the federal minimum wage, only New Hampshire is blue.

    Average minimum wage:
    Red: ~$9.04/hr
    Blue: ~$14.86/hr

    Median minimum wage:
    Red: $7.25/hr
    Blue: ~$15.13/hr

Edit: This, of course, doesn't take buying power into account. So take it with a grain of salt I guess. Or feel free to work it out yourself and post it for the rest of us... 😄

    Um actually, that's actually $13.26/hr 🤓

But fun fact: That only makes a difference for one state. Nebraska has $13.50/hr as their minimum. In total there are 22 states which are higher.

Less fun fact: 20 of the states use the federal minimum wage, which is $7.25/hr.

It's literally having a real effect on kids brains though, especially the short form videos with their constant stream of dopamine. It's also been seen time and time again that the algorithms are pushing people to more and more extreme alt right content. This problem is mostly with the big companies though, with their algorithms actively pushing for this result.
