Johnson said the attack on Iran was a “defensive operation” because Israel was ready to act against Iran, “with or without American support.” He said President Donald Trump and his team determined that Iran would immediately retaliate against U.S. personnel and assets.

Oh, so first they where totally gonna nuke us in the next couple weeks, then it's all Israel's doing and poor helpless donnie had to go along with it.

That may or may not be true. But this revelation isn't an accident. The war is more unpopular at home than they expected, even among the MAGAs. They're just trying to save their image by throwing Nethanyahu under the bus.

are we saying that Mitch had morals now? Seems revisionist. He was the original MAGAt, he just dressed it up in language that was more appropriate for his time. The only difference now is that the hateful, divisive rhetoric doesn't need to be dressed up, so any old hucklefuck (like Johnson) can just run their mouth and the moronic 35% just lap it up.

Its not often trump officials admit to falling for a scam and attacking another country.

The Trump administration and its allies in Congress presented a shifting new justification Monday for the U.S. attack on Iran, with House Speaker Mike Johnson suggesting that the White House believed Israel was determined to act on its own, leaving the president with a “very difficult decision.”

It's been obvious who's in charge for some time and now they've confirmed it, the long con.

Sounds like the administration is claiming they didn't have the agency to make a different decision. God where have I heard that before...
