It's not even like some bombshell interview or anything either. It's basically a Christian running for Senate in Texas that's saying Trump and his ilk are not real Christians and that there are lots of people out there that are fed up with the corruption in the church and especially in politics. He didn't make any really bold statements or say anything that could have been considered aggressive or hateful. All told, it was a fairly uneventful interview that got a whole lot more traction than it might have because it got censored. It would have been hardly a blip on the radar otherwise. I hope the 'Colbert bump' helps get him in office.

LOL at CBS trying to gaslight Stephen Colbert. Absolute buffoonery.
People should watch Jeff Daniel's Newsroom from 15 years ago. It was an accurate portrayal of the degradation of the Republican party and TV news and while it was optimistic, it predicted networks would be almost as bad as they are in 2026. Even their writers did not predict Fascism taking over the USA.
I have to push back on just ONE thing. Paramount isn't being bullied. CEO is the son of Larry Ellison. Trying to not cast doubt on David but.... Rich men gonna be rich assholes. If they were actually being bullied, I do believe that they'd push back harder cause it's fucking Paramount and CBS is very well known and can very easily blast this to millions.
I know Colbert has to give CBS the benefit of the doubt, but CBS IS the Trump administration.
Fuck CBS. Fuck paramount. Cancel your Paramount plus subscriptions if you haven’t already. You get get Star Trek without giving them money.
Bullies in the Trump administration = Bullies at the top of CBS. It's bought and paid for, Colbert just doesn't want his show to end prematurely for calling Bari Weiss and Larry Ellison out.
“I don’t even know what to do with this crap.”
Yes he does. He used a doggie clean-up bag to pick it up and throw it in the trash.
GOOD BOY Stephen, GOOD BOY!
colbert could have offered the other candidates an interview with the same terms. he had no intention of doing so. crockett even said so. the fcc called her saying that this was going to happen and she had the right to appear on his show.
if he wasn't going to invite her on, then that interview can't air on the public airwaves.
instead of taking up for him and blaming everyone under the sun for the incident, why isn't anyone asking why he wouldn't have her on? not unless the consipiracy of "CbS cEnSoRs 4 tRuMp!!!" rules all around you.
you think trump cares about a democratic primary race for a senate seat more than likely staying red airing? this is so far beneath him AND weiss.
I love how the immediate past involving Kimmel proves you wrong. You're angry at nothing but your own poor assumptions. Namely, that this admin is capable of a level of respect they've literally never demonstrated the capacity for.
Show me a single moment where the Trump admin has acted in response to criticism the way you just magically described they would. Because I can point to literally hundreds of examples of Trump lowering the bar far below where people like you constantly bitch it couldn't be lowered. Now below the bodies of two Americans it never needed to be after people like you bitched "ICE wOuLd NeVeR."
And despite being proven wrong again for the 30,000th time, here you are still bitching about a depth Trump wouldn't lower the bar under. He would. Based on the fact he literally always has to the point where the US is now an international embarrassment at best, and a collapsing nation at worst.
You're defending the worst kind of pedophile imaginable for embarrassingly snowflake reasons.
You’re a fool if you believe that. Also the fcc rules exempt talk shows from giving equal time. You have no idea that Crockett is not wanted. In my view they don’t want to invite the republican candidate.
