So people are just going to die right?

We’re going to have old people cut off from their health care, rural areas will have their hospitals closed, and people are going to die.

Why is the world such a sick place?

Listen to that one rep who said we're all gonna die!

We just need to accept the lord jesus into our hearts so that the hereafter will be assured! Fuck the present earth, it should go through trials like extreme weather, rampant sickness, wars etc - that's just a sign that the second coming is near!

Because they can't get off unless people are suffering. And the current suffering is getting boring, so they have to raise the stakes.

Nah, it's dumber than that. They don't want suffering to lose money, they want all the suffering and misery in the world to be incredibly profitable.

What I don’t understand is a blood thirsty vampire like Miller…he’s never going to be a billionaire, he’s just pushing his Nazi wet dream to simp, he’ll never be in their club.

Have you ever seen photos/video of the Nazi high command? Not exactly the picture of "Aryan supremacy." Some part of it has to come from a place of deep self-loathing I think.

Unfortunately, the gutting of USAID and foreign aid programs is projected to kill millions in the developing world.

And don't forget that RFK Jr. wants to let the new strain of bird flu spread. The world could experience a new pandemic in a few years.

A few years feels optimistic. I’d wager on by the end of this year, at the rate everything is getting defunded.

I think people vastly underestimate the effectiveness of annual mitigation efforts by multiple agencies that have either already been cut or on the chopping block.

Many of these agencies go unnoticed because they work well, but will be immediately obvious once they’re gone.

That soft power is increasingly disappearing and is unlikely to return to even a shadow of its former self in decades.

Agreed but they'll need out of this wave of fascism first.

I sincerely hope the whole world turns against the US-Russian axis of fascism. But y'all will have to do some doing to get there.

I sincerely hope this is the world's last go around with fascism but I'm not so delusional as to think it the case. But I am delusional enough to think maybe someday it will be. Maybe someday we'll win.

Or we're aware or our country's effect on tge world, especially negative. Some of the US aid and our previous acceptance of asylum seekers in my opinion was required because the US either caused or was complicit in tge reason such aid was needed. Especially in South America, with all the coups and school of the Americas etc.

They won't learn any lesson from it. Regardless of what happens MAGAt leaders will blame gays, trans, and immigrants ... and their brain dead followers will believe them.

All this bill did was shuffle money around so the billionaires get a tax break. The Republicans also apparently fucked Musk over as he did not get his promised government handout contracts.

I don't know if this one is considered insider trading. The bill was public record and we all knew how he was going to vote. I guess he could have known the result before the official vote, But at the same time anyone can look up party affiliations and vote history.

This dudes girl friend is a blonde B$&@& for a news station. She makes sure he gets the best coverage possible from the local news organization. It’s a joke how terrible northeast Pennsylvania has turned. A dude I used to work with started a hate group against gay teenagers. All financed by the gun cult church that’s there.

    Why is healthcare a stock!?

  • source
  • hideshow 3 child comments
  • [–] 2 points 1 year ago

Healthcare isn't a stock. Healthcare is a large industry, comprised of many companies, and government entities. Individual companies in the healthcare industry may have publicly traded stock. Hope that helps.

It's time to come up with something better than the stock market, especially when morality and shame have left the building and have been replaced by greed and "lookin' out for number one".
