Constantly flabbergasted by the sheer levels of cowardice on display by every. single. institution in this country.

I think it's people not wanting to lose their jobs. They killed jobs so you have to hang on to the one you have. Even if it's against your morals.

Does your family go hungry for principles? Quite the question.

Fuck their jobs. Everyone who ever stood up for anything had a job to lose. They’re cowards, they’re complicit, and this goes for EVERY American sitting at home wringing their hands about the far right and doing fuck all about it.

I'm constantly flabbergasted that Americans continue to expect institutions to do the resisting while they do nothing.

Well, . . . who do you think the institutions are?

And the people being blamed are the people considered to be in charge of the institutions. Not the other people "following orders", not the people still patronizing the institutions, and not the people complaining about the institutions doing nothing why they do nothing themselves.

Down in the Arkansas Delta, about 40 miles from anywhere, there's lots of soybean fields. In one particular field, which you wouldn't even notice if you weren't looking for it, there is a small grove of trees.

If you walk around the perimeter, you'll find little speaker boxes along the way. When you activate each one, you'll hear the voice of none other than George Takei talking about the place you're standing in. It's the site of the Rohwer internment camp where thousands of Americans, including Takei, were shipped in by rail and held prisoner during WWII for no other reason than they were of Japanese descent.

There's no sign of an internment camp there now. The only remains are monuments the prisoners built to their friends and family members who were killed fighting for the Allies.

Some people are stupid or naive enough to believe that the United States can do no wrong. Some are even arrogant enough to think that admitting we were wrong is "unpatriotic". Yet, like every empire that has ever existed, the US has committed many wrongs. History cannot be erased, undone, or whitewashed, despite the pathetic attempts of sad despots. And if we choose not to learn from it, we will soon repeat it.

That’s right folks! Being American now means you reject basic facts and history.

Yea no, they became what they are today by doing just that. Anything negative was swept under the rug, called anti-usa or censored. Nothing new about it.

With propangada for their public as the greatest country in the world while marketing themselves as the land of opportunity. It was obviously exploitation to make the rich people richer. But workers couldn't be bothered with that as an embarrassed millionaire.

There's a reason they control most of influential news/social media.

Now, they feel invincible, they're just riding on propagandah. They feel they don't need the smartest people driven with brain drain around the world.

Some Americans are resisting in tons of different ways. There have been 24/7 "music festivals" (ICE protests that get labeled as music festivals because Tiktok will take down videos tagged with protests.) in LA and Portland for months now. Americans have been shot defending their neighbors, ICE agents have been shot.

It's important to remember that the Billionaires control the news and they won't air anything that makes it look like the common folk have a chance of resisting.

Something? Anything? Stop acting like this is normal and going about your daily lives like this is something that will blow over on its own.

An unorganized response to Jimmy Kimmel being silenced for insulting dear leader got him back on the air pretty quickly. Imagine what could be done with an organized response.

Be prepared to do things that will get you arrested. Sorry, you didn’t do a damn thing when you were less at risk. You waited too long to fight. Now it’s going to be harder and you’re going to have to stop worrying about losing your job and maintaining your comfortable lifestyle. You and people like you are responsible for having let it get to this point.

this is an extremely unpopular but correct assessment, and the left is going to lose until they realize this. i don't know how to impress upon people the importance of physical resistance and rebellion. our leaders do not fear us because they have no reason to. think of the arsenal they have against us. they cannot lose as long as we remain divided, deprived, and destitute. we need to start through less physical means like coordinated mass labor strikes and organized community autonomous zones, but we must be prepared and willing to extend our resistance to a violent reach. the state enacts violence on us every single day through legal measures and economic manipulation. we are within our right to self-defense of the system we are enslaved to. disrupt communication lines, destroy their resources, burn their storages, and do what you can to avoid retributive violence. resist the urge to work solo and coordinate your strategy with a team.

this isn't paranoia. i hate that i have to state this so bluntly but so few of us are appropriately responding and preparing. if nothing happens, hey, great! wonderful. but shit has been moving fast. it hasn't been a year of this administration and we have three more. you don't want to be stuck somewhere in six months because you thought things "were bad but not that bad." it's that bad, i promise. get your passports, leave your Red state if you are able to especially if you are a minority.

Trump's FBI is considering designating transgender Americans as extremists on a federal watch list. i shouldn't have to explain why that simply cannot be allowed to happen. we agree, right? ...right?

Industrial sabotage, catfishing/exposing, destruction of infrastructure, clandestine press/broadcasting, tax resistance- there's plenty that can be done without hurting people.

So they want to cover up the truth that people in the US lobbied the whole world to not to take the Jews in leading to the final solution. Don't forget providing material support to the Nazi and IBM lending the computer power to make the final solution a reality.

Does it remind you of another genocide taking place that wouldn't be happening without the support and help from the US government and their corporations?

It is almost like we were never the good guys and WWII was just one fascist nation cleaning up another fascist nation's mess.

According to Umberto Eco's requirements, the US was Ur-Fascist for quite some time. I tend to agree with that.

Now, however, we're full on fascist for sure. Also, Holocaust aside, Hitler and his allies were obviously in the wrong. Like you can't be OK with them occupying half of Europe.

“Countless” is a bit of a stretch, and really isn’t until the 1900s but yes in general that's some imperialistic bullshit. Things that were kept from everyone for decades because they wouldn’t have been able to do it if it was out in the open. (Now is a very different time that has taken them decades and trillions of dollars to manufacture.) A closer look at any of those operations will reveal the usual suspects of militarism, racism, and enormous oceans of money. Those persons did not make up the whole of the country, then or now.

  • They think if everyone just agrees with them, that in and of itself presents a solution. That's their schtick. They said they don't believe the United States is becoming more fascist -- I'll assume because it's already fully institutionalized. They'll point out problems and never solutions because they offer nothing of substance. It's just a child-like mind with access to an LLM. Their post history should reveal everything you need to know.

It's not anti-American to recognize the shitty parts of your past if the goal is to learn from it to improve the future.

Ironically the US Holocaust Museum is basically a part of Israel's PR wing and has done extensive work in whitewashing Israel's modern-day Holocaust in Palestine, even saying that "Never again" only means "never again for Jews" and genocides of other people is OK. It should be shut down for that reason, not Trump's.

“It’s appalling that a museum established for the purpose of educating the public about genocide and the Holocaust not only refuses to acknowledge the reality of Israel’s actions in Gaza, but [is] removing a social media post that merely stated that ‘never again’ is not intended for just Jews, in order for it to not be interpreted as a response to the genocide in Gaza.”

    That last one. YIKES.

[...] said United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Chairman Stuart E. Eizenstat. “All sectors of society must unflinchingly confront antisemitism in all of its forms—including anti-Zionism—before it provokes more violence against innocent people. [...]"

The deafening irony of that statement. I know what's intended, but it can also be read as meaning to confront the twisted and redefined form of antisemitism itself. Which is to say: divorce it of anything to do with zionism.

Last week, through a sad chain of sycophancy, the Holocaust Museum was forced to make the following compromise: "Never again means never again only for Jews."

The "genocide is bad" thinking is part of the woke mind virus that just hates America and loves abortions.

FYI, the money behind holocaust museum was always meant to promote Zionism, and Zionazi colonialism, apartheid, and genocide and rule over America. They could have just said "Americans under a Democratic Administration." to better align with US government's fake partisan view on Zionazi rule.
