Late thread sorry!

I've been playing switch 2 still as well as season 2 of playdate. Been really enjoying it so far! Favorite game has probably been long puppy. Really cute and clever game

Currently playing Factorio: Space Age.

It is peak automation. It also has a lot of replayability thx to mods. It's also cross-platform.

I'm back on my first playthrough of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided after a two-month break for Blue Prince, Clair Obscur and F.E.A.R.. It's a great game, but I think I did it a disservice by taking the long break, I can feel I'm so much less invested now than I was when I began playing it.

It's very unfortunate that the series ended on a cliffhanger, what they have here is really good and in many ways an upgrade on Human Revolution. A third game from the studio would have been a true masterpiece, I think.

Planet Crafter on steam allows you to terraform a barren moon into a green eco planet! While you're on it. It's cool to watch your world transform

I am just about done with The Last of Us 1 and just picked up Expedition 33, both are amazing (even if I’m bad at parrying)

Also on playdate I’m playing bwirds, it’s a fun spelling game! Polished and has nice short play sessions

Started my first playthrough of Sekiro and it's really hard. I'm slowly embracing the playstyle, but I have so many habits to break from the other Souls games. I like it, but I don't think I'll be up for NG+ if I ever finish the NG run.

Also started playing Sable and I really like it so far. It kind of feels like an open world Zelda type of game without combat. It's quite relaxing, and the art style is absolutely beautiful.

Sekiro is one of my favorites. I like that it's not really about leveling, and it pretty much gets right into it. I could pick it up today and blast through a new game.

Do you know how to do the lightning reversal? There are a handful of bosses that it really counters.

Do you know how to do the lightning reversal?

I think so in theory. I acquired it, but haven't found anyone using lightning yet. LB to parry/absorb, RB to unleash it?

Have not made it past Genichiro phase 1 yet so I went elsewhere looking for powerups. I beat Juzou first try, but the long arm centipede man took hours, a lot like every other boss and mini boss lol.

You have to jump when you're doing it, too. if you touch the ground before it finishes, it won't work and you'll just get shocked.

If you clear some post-game optional challenges, there's a special move you can unlock that does it easier, but that's only useful if you want to do NG+

Hours on the centipede man, you say? Once you get into the deflect rhythm, they're very satisfying. Fill their posture right up and then finish them. But without the timing, you're going to take a lot of chip damage or get posture broken yourself :(

Primarily Titan Fall 2. Been wanting to try it for a bit now and it really exceeds my expectations. Love the movement, shooting, and feel of everything. Only thing I really don't enjoy is the titan sections but outside of that it kind of rules.

The Titan sections in TF|2 confused me, half of them were basic arenas and the other half were basic arenas with bosses. I played a lot of Titanfall 1 and when I would play aggressively I’d go entire matches without losing my titan, it felt more like Gundam Doom. I think it’s because they actually balanced the sequel

Anyway the campaign is fantastic, so creative and always keeps it interesting. The mech sections aren’t even bad, some of their levels are beautiful and there are some good arenas, they just weren’t what I expected

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles. I started it years ago and dropped because I was disappointed by the writing. Now I've been playing the other games in the series and gave it another shot. I am enjoying it now - the combat is more interesting than the one in 2 or X and the world is fun to explore. I do still find the characters a bit shallow tho and the story fails to create mysteries, as it spoils them immediately in an attempt to do foreshadowing.

I have lost so many Baldur's Gate 3 Honour Mode runs because I've accidentally blown up the Zentarim hideout.

Did you know that having a torch equipped as your melee weapon means you're considered to be carrying an open flame even when you've switched to have your ranged weapon out? I just found that out yesterday. Always learning new and exciting ways to explode.

  • @chloyster Kohan II: Kings of War, an obscure real time strategy game that can be compared to the first Battle for Middle Earth, though I find Kohan to be more complex, it's just as enjoyable

  • Finally beat Windblown on the hardest difficulty (one run). Now I'm back down one step to unlock the new items that were added in the last six months.

  • Played and finished Spider-Man: Mile Morales (PC version) a few days ago. It's gorgeous and it gets so much right when it comes to adapting the comics.
