When my elderly father makes demands we usually nod and agree to make him happy, then ignore it.

I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt for now.

It's from a month ago. They didn't want to bring it up then because it would help Talarico. Now they post non-linked quotes with no date.

    Yep.

    Note that OP also:

    • talk about ‘blue MAGA’ as if it’s a legitimate problem (it’s not)
    • frequent doomer rhetoric
    • From just a brief glance, seems they almost exclusively promotes lefitst infighting of various degrees

Even if they’re not a bot, they may as well be one.

What do you "may be"? They just gave you evidence he said it again yesterday. And not just again but this actual quote, not just a rehash of what you posted. You tried to falsely malign them by suggesting they were posting old information. But they didn't.

There’s basically no one in politics that is an “open borders” anything. There are some, but not many, people who want full open borders. Saying you’re going to be aware of the border security and being willing to fix the issues with it currently seems pretty normal to me, borders do matter to the very vast majority of American voters.

Saying he wants to "fix the border issues", is not the "self-own" you think it is. There are a lot of issues with US border and immigration policy, that need "fixing".

Y'all are acting like Trump was ever interested in "fixing" the border. Or even attempting to reform it.

This is from October? First of all, it's CNN, you never fucking know what might come out of their news room.

Please tell me this bullshit we don't need a single Democrat working with Trump.

Democrats have a multi-decade history of doing these kind of things. They talk one thing in the primaries to keep the disenfranchised voters lured back into the party with hopes of change, only to make a 180 the moment the polls close.

Talarico saying he's willing to work across the aisle is old news. It's also being used as fodder to cause infighting on the left. The bots got your nose, buddy. If Talarico does anything that hurts ordinary people, I'll be the first to condemn it, but I'll believe it when I see it and not because some Russian bitch bot posted old news from CNN with a bullshit byline. This is the left's greatest flaw - gullibility.

You seem to be conflating democrats with the left, we are not the same thing. What liberal perceive as leftist infighting is us correcting democrats that they are not on the left.

Exactly which statements did he make in this video that you disagree with? He's rightfully acknowledging that if anything is going to get done, Trump will have to be on board, and as said elsewhere almost no politicians in America are advocating for open borders, but Talarico does say he would like to "pass a pathway to citizenship for our neighbors who have been here for years, for decades, so they can come out of the shadows." In everyday parlance that sounds like he would like to have a way to naturalize illegal immigrants. How does that compare to the current actions?
