It’s weird the author never mentions Greg Norman, the dude who spearheaded the whole thing

Nor did the author mention Donald Trump, who owns many of the courses that LIV ran tournaments at. I thought it was pretty obvious the whole thing was just a vehicle to get Saudi money into Trump's pocket.

Why? Only because its a gigantic waste of water and usage of a lot of pesticides to keep those lawns green? Or is it because of the habitat destruction when they build the courses?

Let’s not forget the displaced populations who inevitably get forced out of their homes whenever billionaires want more land to build a new country club. It’s like looking at where the government typically chooses to invoke imminent domain to build new highways. It’s almost always low income populations (or up-and-coming BIPOC neighborhoods that are getting too successful) that get forced to relocate.

So what about those jokers who crossed over from the pga? Will they be welcomed back in? Do we care? They pocketed millions just from that decision alone. Fuck em.
