    For real?!

Awesome news, I live in the Northeast but hearing about even half of the awful things about such a vile man, feels good to know he's gone

Every state office in Texas flipped last night. Texas is a blue state now. They’re ALL gone. Governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, railroad commissioner (yes this matters), Supreme Court justices. If they were up for reelection, they got beat last night by democrats.

As a non-Texan from Ohio, living in Oregon I’ve written off Texas entirely for over 30 years.

    Maybe y’all ain’t so bad.

    Good job big T.

Don't judge 'em until you get two data points. As a Texan, my perception is that this isn't a sudden awakening. It is revenge voting and we'll be bright red again as soon as the Dems drop the ball.

I guess I can stop wishing for Paxton to roll him off a cliff and jump down after.

If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything.

I don't get the razor wire reference. Is that something internal to Texas (i am not an American)?

Because immigrants were crossing the Rio Grande river in Texas, Republicans put out barbed wire to be evil.

Anti immigration and racism are big issues here. There is a popular idea that illegal immigrants swim across the Rio Grande river to cross the border, so as a publicity stunt he had razor wire put up so that anyone attempting to cross would either drown or bleed to death.

Razor wire is like barbed wire but with literal razor blades instead of pointy bits. It is designed so that attempting to climb over/through it will shred your flesh such that you get tangled and bleed to death before being able to get out. Horrific stuff, usually used to protect airports, prisons, etc.
