My assessment of the game.

Spoiler, I freaking love it. How does everyone like it?

My only complaint is I'd like a standard arcade mode where you pick track and vehicle and buffs. That's it.

I think the game is a near masterpiece overall.

I was day one, but after some of the early reviews came in, I got spooked. I'm waiting to see what kind of update cycle it'll get, if any. I'd love that arcade mode you mentioned. But still the main mode looks so good...

    So, galactic racer is more involved campaign wise just because of the roguelite element, it's also decently difficult but does have difficulty options.

    Galactic racer is also more deep in the variety of vehicle load outs, there are full on brawler racing styles in this one where you are actively taking people out using ion cannons, consussion mines, etc.

    The start can seem brutal, but as you unlock and upgrade your ship, you can beat the AI by 20 seconds at times.

    Overall, it's replaced the n64 game for me as the best star wars racer.

    Only took 20 some years lol
