Meanwhile Wiener, Uber AIPAC hack is about to win Pelosi's seat against a more vocal progressive (who called Gaza what it was long before him).. Wtf, San Francisco?

There's a Stevens-Rogers/Captain America joke in there somewhere but I'm not clever enough to tease it out

I'm stressed about this race, but hopeful.

I want to believe that at this point, she's doing him more favors than harm.

I'm not so naive not to recognize that this isn't a good thing. Having a prominent supporter knife you in the back 48 hours before election day is not something any candidate wants. But the truth is, this really just seems to reaffirm his message about standing up to powerful interests.

Stevens is a failed former Democrat. My boy Abdulrahman is the successful Democrat! The Democrats are slowly going left wing, and the chuds in the party are getting kicked out and showing their true allegiances.

The Michigan Dem chair said she's not allowed back in the party. Her staff quit. The New Democrats are socialists who ask transphobes if they're circumcised on live TV. The New Democrats are the kind of people who'll end the genocide in Gaza and stop global warming.

who ask transphobes if they’re circumcised on live TV

What's the significance? To counter their "life altering surgery on minors" type of arguments? Or just to make them answer questions about their genitals like they do to trans people?

Some pathetic asshole asked Abdulrahman if he was okay with "doctors cutting kids' dingalings off". Abdul said "I don't think you wanna have this conversation. Are you circumcised?" Asshole got all defensive, "Well it's none of your business, but yes". My boy Abdul says "Yeah, then you don't want to have this conversation."

Lol. Good stuff. Glad someone in politics finally said it loud in public. Even funnier it's someone from an Abrahamic circumcision-lover background. I really hope people get out and vote for him.

It got a lot of play on the news because it was so shocking. We need socialists who say shit and get attention in the tabloids. We need Woke Trump.

Religious zealots will come for their heads.

There were people like Hitchens, Dawkins and Maher who dared to be left wing Trumpian loudmouths. But they also turned out to be pro-imperialism, pro-islamophobia, pro-torture, pro-war, anti-trans in various capacities and even zionists in case of Bill.

I think woke trump already exist in the virtual world and sometimes in activism. Like I've seen signs such as "allah is non binary" and "allah is gay" but they're rare and even other left wingers get scared about it.

One university here had a pro-lgbt and pro inclusivity poster with two hijabi lesbians. They removed it as soon as devout muslims claimed it's islamophobic (even though it wasn't).

Oh I wish he had had the conversation. For one thing I'd like to know what the doctor thinks of the practice.

America is a very weird place, and circumcisions is part of it.

It's tied to religious dogma and no serious politician in North America wants to tackle the issue.

FGM at least got a ban but that's because no major religious group publicly support it.

Male genital mutilation gets religious support widely and publicly. Abrahamic deity loves to eat foreskin and nobody wants to see Almighty get hangry.

Those who dare to speak within faith groups say it should be an adult decision, not imposed on child. Kinda like Anabaptist who don't deny the religious significance of the baptism ritual but they don't impose it on a child.

Nobody cares what non-religious or non-abrahamic religious communities have to say on the topic so they don't bother getting involved in the debate. Except atheists who don't have to worry about defending their own dogma after questioning circumcision-lovers.

Most likely, the smart secular doctor will say it should be between a doctor and the patient and their family. Not the government or random people. Same answer most give on abortion and gender dysphoria.
