    I once played in a campaign that had one of these fuckers in the center of a tar pit we needed to cross.

    The mechanic for the tarpit was that it halved your movement speed, and if you stopped moving for a turn, youd have to spend your movement action getting unstuck.

    It was a nightmare

    I dunno, there's DMs that do work that way lol.

    Mind you, I don't approve of it, but there's even players that are fine with that line kind of shoddy gameplay because they think it's brutal.
