  • Excellent. Went to a demonstration for trans rights today, but now it feels like I did everything I should today :)

Can you link me to studies proving the accuracy of these claims?

I don't want to be a buzzkill, this is seriously something I don't understand, why do y'all want these? Is it just because of its symbolism of transness at this point?

Blue shark with pink mouth and white teeth/belly. Blue pink white are the trans flag colors, shark is defender of the trans flag.

They also defend my bed during non sleepy times, and I hug the small one against my chest with the big one spooning my back when I'm in bed. It brings me incredible comfort and a feeling that I am not alone.

Also, the trek to the physical store is like a pilgrimage to those with one nearby enough to travel there. And for everyone else, there's shipping or knock offs for those that are cash strapped.

I hope this sheds a small amount of light on why someone might be quite interested in these shorks.

I guess that's why I'm curious. Again, I'm not trying to shoot it down or be a buzzkill, but yeah most of the time I see people talk about these, it has to do with comfort and a shared symbolism. It honestly may just be that I'm too old to empathize with that, or just that I've never been all that comforted by plushes like these.

Edit: This isn't to say that it is "immature" to be comforted by them, more that I just haven't had that inclination in a rather long time, and likely have lost connection with it.
