So this shit pisses me off so much and it's not limited to private Christian schools but also for the bulk of these damn charter schools too and this is coming from a dad who did send my kid to a charter school for a bit.

It’s because they want to privatize education.

Defunding public education is racism. It started once civil rights happened. Rich white people would rather strip down schools than share with minorities

I'm way too afraid of charter schools, who knows what they're teaching and what kind of abusers they hire.

There is no data that shows private education is better than public. Because the regulations on charter and private schools are so much more lax, you are absolutely correct to fear the material and the staff of those institutions.

Private schools aritifically boost their numbers by expelling students that are difficult to teach. This results in high performing students getting a sub-par private education while struggling students are dumped back into the public system years behind where they should be.

The only people that benefit from charter and private schools are people who hate actual education and people who make money from private education.

Also enabling discrimination with taxpayer money. If you can get fired for being non-hetero or getting pregnant without a spouse or being the wrong color/ethnicity/religion we shouldn't pay for them to exist.

I wish I could undo the lessons I learned in Christian private schools. You do not have my permission to use my taxes to fund these unrepentant child abusers and their institutions. Unfortunately, what I want doesn't seem to matter to our overlords.

Why the ever living fuck are name tags a requirement in schools? I never understood it when I had to wear a badge in high school either.

“The schools offer a liberal conservative arts education”

  • It should be considered child abuse to force children into Christianity.

you mean for-profit christian schools that funnel money back to politicians. plus private schools can keep all the "poors" out of thier elitist instituiton by raising the cost just above the voucher amount, so the rich people dont interact with a poor person, or a undesirable demographic.

They want to destroy the work to get to god. Religion is a blight.

Technically, all they are doing is redirecting some of the money they pay into the public system, which they are not using, into the private system.

Most catholic schools are much like state schools except for the religion. The issue is diverting money from state schools weakens the system and it’s academic ability. Elite schools on the other hand are well able to look after themselves.

I would also argue private schools, including catholic schools, focus on academics more than public schools. Yes, some money is diverted from public schools, but the associated cost is also diverted.
