That's an odd combo of items.

For tick removal I'd think: https://canlyme.com/shop/product/tick-removal-kit/

Probably all made in China, but it is supporting a Canadian organization. Don't know much about them though.

Air horns are for black bears.

Don't really help much for grizzly's, those need 2 cans of bear spray to be safe.

Makes sense. I always figure if me yelling doesn't spook the bear (black or brown) we're in pepper spray territory.

Thankfully that doesn't come up often 🤞

I do hope the pepper spray you are using is specifically bear spray, not human grade pepper spray - the stuff for humans is not strong enough to deter a grizzly, and honestly, it often takes 2 cans of the bear spray to get them to actually leave.

(This is mainly a PSA for those that don't live in bear country)

Given that bear spray is legal for typical civilians to possess in Canada, and the other one generally isn't, I would think it's a safe assumption to make that they are using the proper one when hiking in bear country.

I 3d printed a keychain tick remover. Don't know how effective it is though, as I haven't needed it yet, just thought it would be better to have one in case I did than to not.
