Not often I see my neck of the woods - I grew up in Burleson. In my religious upbringing days, we'd go down to a big Christian camp outside of Glen Rose. So I have mixed feelings about those memories. heh. But it's really pretty down that way.

And this is a really nice shot :)

If people here are wondering why on earth a road might be the first thing scientists are thinking of, be reminded that kicking up lunar dust is going to quickly ruin vehicles. They sure started ruining space suits within hours.

A road solves this problem. With no atmosphere, dust should very rarely settle on the road after it's constructed.

Well, as long as rockets aren't blazing around nearby.

Made an attempt at mosaicing plus stscking but I don't think it helped all that much because I was hitting my maximum magnitude of my telescope which was around 3000mm focal length for a 150mm aperture newt

Well, if it helps I started with (and often still do) using my phone's camera for landscape astro / milky way shots.

Pretty much any android phone from the last decade has a main camera that can take decent long exposure photos.

If you can save them in RAW format too then you just need a semi-decent sky and some patience!
