I’m getting really tired of “verify you’re not a bot” checks everywhere.

I understand these checks help prevent bots, but they seem to appear on so many websites now. Does anyone else find them frustrating?

I still use the default settings on uBlock Origin.

I'm not going to waste my time fiddling with shit, which is likely to need changing again and again, because of those fucking bots ruining the internet being increasingly more predatory.

I really don't get why you're so upset at me explaining why OP is experiencing these issues.

They're not blaming anyone, that's what you're failing to understand.

This is the reality of why it's happening. The choice is to put up with it or try to do something about it.

Strong "What were you wearing?" vibes.

I use default uBlock Origin, no VPN, nothing else. I get those annoying bot verification loading things ALL THE FUCKING TIME on my home PC and at work and on my mobile phone. I know it is a response to bots scraping everything maliciously. I am doing the bare minimum.

Being told "The user probably did something to their security they could just change" when I'm doing the bare minimum is being told it is probably something I did and not the fact that the whole mess created bots is the problem and being annoying by all this verification shit is somehow my fault.

    Fuck that.

    You've got the analogy wrong.

It's a fucking insane analogy but I'll humor you and work with the framework you've provided:

Rapists (AI scrapers) attacked the actual victims (site owners) causing them grievous harm (massive bandwidth bills). So the victims put a barrier in place to seeing them at all (anti-bot tech).

Now you've come along complaining that you have to pass the bouncer to look at tits.

You've told the victims "your defense is inconveniencing me" instead of going after the rapists, or accepting that the protective measures are necessary.

    Good job.

Strong “What were you wearing?” vibes.

Excuse the fuck out of me? Comparing this discussion in ANY fucking way to rape is completely off the fucking charts.

    Jesus Christ.

I'm blocking you and you can absolutely fuck ALL the way off, you fucking regressive piece of shit.

Have fun rotting in your self-absorbed refusal to understand basic fucking language.
