I don't hate Rust, but I do get annoyed by and suspicious of the evangelism for it I often see. This is by no means unique to Rust but it does seem to be seeing a very aggressive push even into trying to fix/replace tried and tested things that aren't broken. It has that feeling of aggressively taking everything over.
