It makes me sad when I see people in community describing themselves as a "transwomen" instead of trans women.

It's a word made up by TERFs and other transphobes to differentiate between cis or as they would say,

'phobic language
"normal"
women, and transgender women.

"Trans" is short for transgender, an adjective modifying the noun "women." Hence, it should be two words, trans women. Same as tall woman or short woman, not tallwoman or shortwoman.

They both have the same issue, of othering the subject rather than including them. The former is no different from using transwoman and the latter is a weird corruption of bracket usage which implies the word transwoman. Neither is necessary when you can simply separate the words appropriately with a space so as to be clear the subject is a woman who happens to be trans, not a separate category.
