Spending $447 million to influence an election and then deleting the posts when it goes badly is quite a business model. Apparently you can buy a social network, an enormous megaphone and plenty of political access, but you still can’t buy the electorate. The delete button must be getting more use than Grok.

I’d say you can’t buy the electorate when things are a certain level of bad and obvious. During more normal times you absolutely can convince the electorate to do horrible things with money/ads.

These races would’ve been lost if the candidates weren’t all the worst people they could’ve possibly put up at the worst possible time. You can always buy elections. Musk just got outbid.

Every trump endorsed candidate has always lost, trump certainly has the ability to destroy the gop from within that no other politician could. if he had fully endorsed kari, or mtg i think it wouldve resulted more damaged than even now.

About 2/3 of the candidates he's endorsed won. One reason for that is that he often endorses candidates only at the last minute, when polling shows they're leading.

In marginal cases, his endorsement is either ineffectual or has negative impact.
