The two named Republicans were both county level admin spots, and one unnamed person...

Lots of people who won't ever vote D really want to divide the party tho.

  • Most all our local offices don't list a party affiliation, so unless by some chance I know anything about the name I can't reasonably give a yes or no, so I'll just leave it blank to avoid endorsing a potentially terrible person.

I split my ticket. Though that was more because of necessity. There were 2 county level offices where Republicans ran unopposed. I left those blank. And several others where Democrats didn't bother to run anyone. In those I voted against the Republicans for the "independent". Which is more reasonable for county level.

In an unopposed situation, I wouldn't crucify someone for just filling in the dot as its ultimately meaningless. But if there were anyone else other than a Republican to vote for, it's still a bad look.
