The Democratic party is distancing itself from supporting the trans community. If the Republicans are trying to commit genocide on the trans community, the Democrats are complicit in it and offer absolutely no protection. The path to protecting trans folk is ovethrowing the system oppressing them, and replacing it with a socialist system. Many of my comrades are trans as well, trans folk are not a monolith. I care deeply about trans folk, as well as Cubans, Palestinians, indigenous people, and all victims of capitalism and imperialism.

Okay but if you are advocating for overthrowing the system, you don't need to dissuade people from voting during an election cycle. You can organize a revolution AND you can participate in the current system in a manner that leads to the best (suboptimal) outcome.

I don't care if people vote or not, I'm not trying to argue against voting. I'm arguing against the idea that voting will ever be used for the benefit of the working class under capitalism.

I'm not sure I follow your reasoning. You are not arguing against voting, but are arguing that voting doesn't work for the benefit of the working class.

Can you clarify what you mean in the first part of that statement? What are you saying you aren't arguing against with respect to voting? Most people would assume you are arguing against voting when you say that voting never works to the benefit of the working class.

The reason I am saying that I'm not arguing against voting is because I don't think the act of voting inherently hurts. Thus, I don't care. What I do argue against is reformism, the belief that voting can be used for the good of the working class. I am unwilling to argue that voting harms the working class, because I don't believe that's correct.
