Purity testing is a good thing. We do it for basically everything we eat or drink. If I'm expected to swallow a politician's BS, I'm allowed to purity test it, and them by implication.

(But, I'm also a strategic voter; I'll gladly vote for a lesser evil if I think it is likely to prevent a greater evil.)
