Don't suppose there is one with less direct political commentary?

I've got some maga family members whose eyes I'm trying to open to some of the self dealing and corruption, but it requires a very gentle touch. Obv don't want to buy one to do my own teardown, but would appreciate a more politically agnostic version that still harps on how this phone is a not-made-in-US clone to share with said family members.

I can of course only speak for myself, but I'm sick and tired of using "gentle touch" on MAGAts or their local equivalents. I think one of the reasons we're in the mess we're in is because people are too polite to call out the bullshit when they encounter it face to face.

to me the whole republican party is part of this and with the violation of the constitution as policy im no longer willing to pretend its a valid political party and not a traitorous anti american organization.

    On one hand, yes.

On the other, the logical conclusion I come to from that is to kill / do a concentration camp on them. That strikes me as immoral and part of the reason I fundamentally could never be on their side.

In an ideal world, I'd be able to convert them to my point of view. I know that's a lofty goal and probably a fool's errand, but I see it as the only way to proceed while retaining humanity.

Of course, prepare for the worst were a totalitarian state is implemented and don't idly stand by while despots do despotic things, stay sharp on your first aid and fitness, etc. I'm not so pacsifist that I'd advocate Inaction, but to say we're beyond the Point of No Return seems to be turning a blind eye to history.

How can you possibly have a politically agnostic video about the Trump phone? It’s literally a political product.

Yours not wrong, and to an extent I see that as impossible.

I suppose what I'm looking for is a teardown / comparison video that doesn't have obvious slander direct bias against Trump. Like, a Johnny Harris style *pull off the back, "wait this looks a lot like this HTC phone I pulled apart", *grabs it, *starts comparing parts, etc would be great.

Edit: "slander" implies I'm claiming the video is speaking lies about Trump. I was in a hurry when typing up this comment, and that wasn't what I intended to say. Others pointed this out, so edited to clarify (with strike through over original text).

    Copy paste from other thread:

Was trying to be quick about comment, so "slander" may not have been the right word for what I meant to convey. Suppose "direct jab at Trump" is more what I meant.

To see the kind of thing I mean, first one starts at 0:19 of the video:

...or if its just a quick cash grab to increase his personal wealth while riding the coattails of a previously prestigious position while grasping at all remaining straw to remain relevant in his final days in office

I'd love to pass this video off to my Aunt and old man (hard core maga folk) with a critism that the phone that Trump has endorsed is trash. But the moment the narrator says that, I know I'mma get a "tHiS iS jUsT mOaR tRuMp DeRaNgEmEnT sYnDrOmE" response.

    Honestly...

Why bother trying to convince them to not get this phone at this point?

Oh, they're broke MFs; they ain't buying a new phone any time soon. And when they do, it'll be the cheapest most poorly made one they could dig out of a Goodwill bin. sigh as an IT type, its frustrating watching theyre lack of security posture on the matter.

But anyway, I was hoping to send to point out the lack of quality of products that Trump is slapping his name on. Its the most minor point in getting them off the Maga train, but I figure every little bit helps.

Give one example of slander in that video.

That statement would hold up in court and is not slander.

Mkay, seems like the specific word "slander" is the hang up from you seeing what I intend to convey.

I edited my other comment to (I hope) more clearly convey what I mean (leaving original text with striketbrough to make edits clear).

They are lost if they still love Trump at this point.

    No, I don't think so.

I think they've let themselves sit in an echo chamber that only affirms their prior assumptions for too long, and I think its going to be a painful process trying to pull them out.

But the logical consequence of the alternative is to either kill them or do a concentration camp on them. I find both of those to be morally reprehensible, so thisis me attempting the conversion route.

I think Morpheus described my rake on it pretty well (first 40 sec of link is the important bit): https://youtu.be/zDO1Q_ox4vk
