Ick. This implies there are no arguments because he fears for his physical safety. This is making a joke out of an abusive situation.

    But they're not so we're not. If the roles were reversed that's a totally different social dynamic. Humor isn't a math problem with an inverse property.

    We need a term for "the internet will find offense in anything, no matter how innocent" I'm calling it the Shalafi Hypothesis, and I'm betting someone finds offense in that.
